What the Gunn Ranch has to offer!
Room to Roam
A total of 2,200 acres are included in the ranch. If that is not enough roaming room, our neighbor, the Black Hills National Forest, has 170,000 acres of timbered land for public access. The majority of the ranch land is timbered with both Ponderosa Pine and a variety of Oak.
An abundance of elk, deer, and turkeys roam the ranch. An occasional mountain lion passes through the ranch. Because it is adjacent to the National Forest, the ranch offers a safe haven for wildlife. In addition to the National Forest, the ranch is also neighbors with a Wyoming State School Section – which is public access land.
The ranch provides the opportunity for 4 wheeling, horseback riding, and mountain biking. The outdoor opportunities are endless. In the winter, the terrain provides an excellent environment for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling.
The ranch is a working ranch and provides summer grazing land for both cattle and horses. Approximately 250 pairs of black Angus cattle are summered on the ranch. Three springs and the Redwater Creek provide water for the livestock.
